Tom Schaar (born September of 1999) is an American amateur skateboarder. Schaar was the youngest skateboarder to successfully land a "900" (2.5 revolutions in the air), the first skateboarder to land a "1080" (3 revolutions), and the youngest ever X Games gold medalist.

In October 2011, Schaar became the 8th person in history, and the youngest, to land a 900.^[1]

In 2006, skateboarder and snowboarder Shaun White unsuccessfully attempted the 1080 on 21 occasions at that years X Games and 29 occasions the year before. It had previously been considered the, "Holy Grail of skateboarding tricks". At age 6, Schaar had watched White's 2006 attempts from the stands.^[2]

In March 2012, at the age of 12, Schaar landed the first 1080 on a skateboard after four previous (unsuccessful) attempts.^[3] Schaar commented to ESPN.com, "It was the hardest trick I've ever done, but it was easier than I thought."^[4]

At the Asian X Games, he won skate Mini Mega by landing the 1080,^[5][6] and became the youngest ever to win an X Games gold medal at the age of 12.
